The Roots is a meditation on that hidden inheritance.
The composition brings together ancient symbols drawn from different cultures and eras, woven into a contemporary visual language. For me, roots are not simply a matter of ancestry or geography. They are the foundations of consciousness—the ideas that taught us compassion before law, reverence before religion, and community before empire. They are the wisdom that early civilizations encoded into symbols long before knowledge was written into books.
Throughout history, humanity has become increasingly sophisticated in the tools it creates. We have built extraordinary technologies, crossed oceans, and reached beyond our planet. Yet as our abilities have expanded, we have often neglected the deeper values that once connected us to nature, to one another, and to ourselves.
This painting asks whether progress without wisdom is truly progress.

SHIPMENT
The canvas will be shipped rolled inside a tube. I won't be able to ship a stretched painting on the frame due to oversized, expensive shipping. The canvas will be rolled in a tube, as my customer prefers it, so that they can get it stretched in their local framing store. You will save unnecessary shipment costs, and the risk of accidental damage to the painting will be eliminated.
