The Crossing captures that moment.
A small two-masted sailing vessel carries settlers westward from Europe towards the distant shores of the New World. Behind them lies everything familiar; ahead, an uncertain horizon and the promise of another life.
The ship appears almost fragile beneath the vast, shifting sky. Its sails and rigging are rendered with meticulous detail, while the surrounding atmosphere dissolves into soft layers of grey, earth and muted light. The contrast is deliberate: human ambition and determination set against the immense forces of nature.
But this is more than a painting of a sailing vessel. It is a meditation on migration, courage and the human instinct to begin again. Those who crossed the Atlantic carried not only possessions, but memories, hopes, fears and dreams of a future they could not yet see.
Within the Seven Seas project, The Crossing marks a significant turning point. The journey is no longer simply about exploration; it becomes a journey of leaving, belonging and transformation.
Every crossing asks the same question: What are we willing to leave behind in order to discover what lies beyond the horizon?
The Crossing is a tribute to those who made that journey into the unknown — and, more universally, to the courage it takes for any of us to begin again.

It will be as close as possible to the one you see here; however, it won't be identical as each of my paintings is original and unique.
