Project: Seven Seas

After project Hafiz, I will take a break from music production and sail away to the Seven Seas. I picked the name of this project because I had a call (summer?) to get back to marine art, the one close to my heart, and paint a few tall ships. The project Seven Seas is a tribute to my late father, Captain Khalili Nejad.

Back in 2022/2023, I did several paintings of tall ships and yachts. One of the experiments I had in the technique of painting was to find a way to create an artistic impression similar to watercolour but on a large format canvas. The best work that I made was called Armada (see below).

In the Seven Seas project, I'll sketch the designs of tall ships in large format, and then I will use the same technique as the one I used in Armada to paint them in a watercolour but minimalistic and impressionist style. I have a target of seven articles for the Seven Seas Album, but I might increase the number. We will see how it goes.
